Code Name: ApocalypseReal Name: En Sabah Nur Estimated Age: 5000 Abilities: Absorption, telekinesis, superhuman strength and longevity, others Group: None Archrival(s): Magneto, X-Men, S.H.I.E.L.D./Sentinels General Info: Apocalypse was abandoned as in infant in the Egyptian desert thousands of years ago. He was rescued by a group of bandits and grew to be a great warrior. The Pharoah Rama-Tut, who came from another time and possessed futuristic technology, feared Apocalypse and tried to kill him. Rama-Tut was unsuccessful and fled, leaving behind some of his advanced technology. One such device was the Eye of Ages, which would give Apocalypse a tool to change all of humanity into mutants, but many would not survive the transformation. He was betrayed while using his own body to power the device, and was buried in the mountains of Tibet and sealed behind three doors to prevent his escape. In the present day Apocalypse was able to telephathically recruit a mutant named Mesmero to aid in his release. Mesmero was able to open the seals and offer Rogue as a means to revive Apocalypse. The combined forces of the Acolytes and X-Men were unable to stop Apocalypse from escaping. Apocalypse secured the locations of three distant pyramids and the Sphinx in Egypt to once again try transforming humanity. Ultimately he was defeated by the combined forces of the X-Men, Acolytes, S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Sentinels, Brotherhood and others before he could succeed. |
